These standards help beauty professionals present services accurately, protect client privacy and maintain a safe, dependable marketplace. Every provider is responsible for following these requirements.
Use current photos and truthful descriptions. Clearly state the service, starting price, estimated duration, preparation requirements and what the client must provide. Do not make misleading claims about qualifications, experience, availability or expected results.
Public listings may show only the service city and nearest major cross streets. Do not publish a home, apartment, suite or complete street address. A private service address may be shared only with a confirmed client after the provider approves the booking.
Disclose the starting price and explain circumstances that may change the final price. State whether a deposit is required, the amount or percentage, when it is due and whether it is refundable. Do not introduce undisclosed charges after a client arrives.
State the grace period, applicable late fee and when an appointment may be cancelled. Every provider must publish clear cancellation, rescheduling and no-call/no-show terms. Apply those terms consistently and communicate any exception directly to the client.
Maintain a clean service environment and use tools and products safely. Explain relevant preparation and aftercare requirements. Stop a service when a client reports significant pain, burning, injury or an unexpected reaction, and recommend appropriate professional care when necessary.
Communicate professionally, respond to appointment requests promptly and notify clients about material delays or changes. Harassment, threats, discrimination, deceptive conduct and misuse of personal information are not permitted on FitMyBeauty.
Providers are responsible for maintaining any license, registration, insurance, permit or training required for their services and location. A FitMyBeauty profile or verification indicator does not replace government licensing or professional certification.
Do not impersonate another professional, post stolen work, manipulate reviews, create false bookings or use the marketplace for prohibited or unrelated activity. FitMyBeauty may review, restrict or remove content or accounts that violate these standards.
